Twitter, Jazz, and All That

Trying to take advantage of twitter. Sure it’s hot, always in the press; attention from Britney, Ashton, Shaq, and blue and red politicians…but let’s look ahead one year. I think there is still opportunity to be a first mover. Meaning, let’s build a following. We at MPC are trying (username is “rhymethepig”) with 600 followers to date. We’ll see where all of this ends up but once we have a larger core following, we will be blogging more regularly. Sorry to our current loyal followers.
CD Recommendation. Nicky’s Jazz for Kids Very memorable songs, many of which you’ll recognize right away, sung by great artists including Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, and Ella Fitzgerald. First 3 songs may be the best: Key-Mo Ky-Mo, Everybody Eats When They Come to My House, and A Tisket A Tasket, not to mention Your Feets too Big near the end. Kids will want to hear CD over and over and eventually it may drive you crazy but nice to have them appreciate great artists of the past and truly good songs. After they have A Tisket A Tasket down cold, show them the youtube of Ella singing so they appreciate her greatness: Too good! Enjoy!
